Who Are We

The Fiji Rental Car Association represents the member rental car operators in Fiji who offer legally operated rental cars for hire and leasing.

The FRCA was formed in 2000 and has consistently evolved over time in providing its members a collective voice in its quest to look after the wellbeing, legal advocation and representation to the government of the day, stakeholders, and strategic partners in similar industries and along its supply chain.

The FRCA is a registered and recognized body under the Department of Industry and Trade and currently falls under the portfolio of the Ministry of Trade, Co-operatives and SMEs led by the Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Manoa Seru Kamikamica.

We have recently forged a partnership with Tourism Fiji to jointly promote sustainable tourism. This includes reducing the impact of tourism on the environment, supporting local communities and preserving cultural heritage. The FRCA members contribute to this initiative with many operators now providing hybrid vehicles for hire and leasing in their company fleet and the idea of acquiring electric cars in the near future are being explored by several members.

The major aim of the FRCA is to ensure the sustainability of the rental car industry by working closely with our members, stakeholders such as Tourism Fiji, Land Transport Authority and the Government. This allows us to make valuable contributions towards policy decisions for the wellbeing of the industry.
